Yesterday, I was ecstatic to preview the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in person at the Nordstrom in Northpark Center along with a few other Dallas bloggers. I’m sharing my “dressing room diaries” and what I brought home! Baby MJ even enjoyed “girl time” as she shopped with us!
If you are a Nordstrom cardholder, then you can access the sale starting today before the public sale starts on July 22nd. I reopened our accounts because there were too many good things to pass up and I was afraid they would sell out! All of the good pieces go quickly, so don’t wait!
Pictured above with my gal, Heather, in the suede moto jacket $124.90 + Current Elliot jeans $171.90. I’m wearing camo bomber jacket $72.90 (wearing size 2) and my own Target jeans, Isabel Marant sandals + Baby K’tan carrier. Heather and I both loved the camo jacket and bought it!
Here go the dressing room diaries…
I love a good set of coordinates, and this pinstripe open-back top $39.90 & culottes $37.90 (wearing size 2 but needed a 4 or 6) set fit the bill. It would be great for work, except that it has an open back so you would need to wear a blazer over it. The denim dress $37.90 (wearing size small but needed medium for shoulders) is a perfect throw on and go outfit for running errands or weekends with the family!
There are some amazing jackets on sale that are perfect for Fall. This brown faux leather jacket $64.90 (wearing XS but needed S for shoulders) is so edgy and would be great with jeans and a tee, as I’m wearing, or over a dress. I also LOVED this army green body suit $42.90 (wearing small) but you need to wear it with high-waisted jeans/pants so the body suit part won’t show. This faux leather vest $58.90 (wearing XS) is a wardrobe staple that needs to get in my closet stat! I am completely OBSESSED with these FRAME high-low hem jeans $163.90. They didn’t have my size (I borrowed Heather’s) otherwise, it would have come home with me. The asymmetrical hem make them so unique and can show off your fabulous shoes.
This striped wrap dress $49.90 (wearing size 4, but needed size 6 for bust area) is absolutely gorgeous and is great for Summer but would be a great transitional piece for Fall because of the colors. You could wear it layered over a thin turtleneck or with a sweater/jacket over it. See how this faux leather vest $58.90 (in XS) is so versatile!
And the dressing room continued into my bathroom… Showing y’all the pieces that I brought home not pictured above!
I’m a huge fan of denim, and couldn’t resist this denim poncho $59.90 (one size)! It’s a cute alternative to the jean jacket or flannel poncho! I plan on wearing it with white jeans and knee high or OTK boots. This camel vest $58.90 (one size) is another wardrobe staple that I couldn’t pass up. It comes in black, grey, and camel and could be belted or left open.
I’ve been dying to get my hands on a black choker $23.90, so I was stoked that this was part of the sale. The necklace can be reversed so that circle is plain gold for a different look. I also got the skinny scarf $24.90 which could be worn as a choker if you tie it in the back!
Sneak peek at other parts of the store…
The home goods section was full of eye candy. I didn’t get anything because my house looks like a wreck right now (new baby + toddler) so I couldn’t imagine bringing in more things. However, this “hard stuff” decanter ($40.90) was too cute not to snap a picture, and those art deco double old fashion glasses ($56.90) are absolutely fabulous. I may have to reconsider!
Undies! I saw this colorful display of Hanky Panky underwear and smiled… a happy little underwear rainbow. They are 4 for $54.
Flat Lay above (as shown on Instagram) featuring skinny scarf $24.90,choker $23.90, denim poncho $59.90, camo bomber jacket $72.90, Kate Spade glasses notebook, Dior Cheek & Lip Glow, Dior ‘Diorshow’ mascara
Hope you enjoyed by dressing room diaries! I’ll share my favorite picks from each category next week! (I’ve been working on this post forever, interrupted multiple times because things take 100x as long with TWO children! Ha!) Have a beautiful weekend and happy shopping!
BTW, you can also shop my picks in the menu under ‘NSale Anniversary Picks‘!
I want your camo bomber. And that denim poncho too. Perhaps it’s time to resurrect that Nordstrom card GRIN
Oh I love that striped wrap dress! :) You tried on (and bought!) some really great things in the sale and it’s so cute you could bring your daughter along too! :)
I haven’t figured out the baby wearing and shopping thing yet so I’ll be out of dressing rooms for a while still I think! :)
Hope you’re adjusting nicely to being a mum to two little ones – I was thinking of you the other day as I was wearing that scarf I won in a giveaway you had :)

What fun! My favorite piece was the camo bomber jacket.
Guess MJ didn’t get to try on anything.

[…] (I can’t get enough of it!) I decided to go 90s glam with a black top, bomber jacket (the one from the Nordstrom sale), and black velvet choker. Brooke kept it casual and cute with a longblush cardigan and taupe […]
