This is NO ORDINARY post! Our Cathy is the founder of She Reigns, a company that makes the MOST FABULOUS rain coats. I have a raincoat and it’s very-efficient-at-keeping-me-dry-but-not-so-cute! I’ll stop there. Besides being an amazing blogger {obviously}, Cathy is also a breast cancer survivor of triple negative breast cancer. And THIS MONTH, she is giving 25% of all sales to the TNBC Foundation AND there is a 25% off sale on all coats (except the sale coats) for the month of October with code TNBC1014.
What is TNBC? Just a few facts to know…
The subtypes of breast cancer are generally diagnosed based on the presence or lack of three receptors known to fuel most breast cancers. Those are estrogen, progesterone, and HER2. Triple Negative is negative of those receptors…hence the name, triple negative. Depending on stage, TNBC can be very aggressive, and more likely to recur than other breast cancers. The good news, is that it usually responds well to chemo.
It used to be seen in mostly young black women. Not anymore!!! Cathy was on the older side of developing it. Most women are younger, even in their 20’s and 30’s. She thinks it has to be environmental!
This is a great opportunity to have a super chic raincoat AND donate to the cause. If anything, please remember to do your monthly breast exams. I know that I am guilty and haven’t done them in a long time. Just because a mammogram isn’t recommended until the 40s doesn’t mean you can’t develop it. Knowledge is Power!!!!
Rxoxo, sam
Everyone looks great! I love how they have all different style raincoats! :D
And wow! That is a great success story! My friends mom survived breast cancer back when we were doing gymnastics and none of us had any idea she was going through it. Such strength.

I know right Meg?! My mother-in-law is a survivor too. Such strength.
BTW, those are the cutest slippers and loungewear!! I never look that great at home!! :)
They are great raincoats! Such a wonderful act to donate so much to the charity too. Cancer (in any form) is a difficult thing to battle, so good that Cathy survived and is giving back :)
