Okay Friends!! Three words – I LOVE CABI! And I love them even more after attending CABI Scoop last month! I can’t wait to share a quick recap but first, we MUST talk about all of the fabulous pieces of the CABI Spring 2020 line! Seriously, I had the whole catalog marked after seeing the fashion show. Have you seen The Notion, CABI’s magazine of Style, Opportunity, and Purpose? It is my FAVORITE piece of inspiration to look at every season. I used to keep all the CABI lookbooks/Notion for outfit ideas ~ Scout’s Honor~ but had to edit my collection because it was taking up so much room!

Disclaimer: I was SO INSPIRED by the Cabi Runway Show and the vintage revivals in The Notion that some my photos are more aspirational than real life, but I am posting any real life shots that I have taken also. Something else to keep in mind… you can use the photos for outfit ideas and inspiration for pieces that you already own (even if you don’t have any of the current CABI pieces).
So here we go with my fave CABI outfit ideas from Spring 2020 line. (There are still more on my heart list!)

SPRING OUTFIT IDEAS
HAPPINESS BLOOMS FROM WITHIN
Or it can bloom when you have on this gorgeous floral outfit! Did you think this was a dress? I bet you did! Remember me talking about the magical matched set?! This is a fabulous dark floral top and matching wrap skirt.
The Thespian Blouse is a sheer chiffon so don’t forget a cami! Funny side story: I was wearing a colored bra and left my cami at home so I asked my photographer if she could see it. YES! We had to drive back home, and I did a quick change before we got to the flower shop, The Flower Market on 7th Street, to take photos! Isn’t it lovely in there?
The Drama Skirt is a heavier weight jersey knit which moves BEAUTIFULLY! The skirt has adjustable buttons at the waist for a great fit and to keep the material from slipping. For those of yall that remember the drama of the Drama Dress selling out, the skirt is an updated cousin with a shorter hem in front that elongates in back!
I love that there are ENDLESS possibilities for wearing each piece separately! Wear the skirt casually with the Fold Pocket Tee, Dylan Jacket, and sneakers for a day running errands. The Thespian Blouse would be fabulous with the Button Fly Skinny Jeans and heels for a night out!

THINK PINK
The pink suit was an automatic YES!! Can you blame me? Who doesn’t need a pink power suit?! Can you ever have too much pink?! LOL! Those are actually rhetorical questions!
I first tried a monochromatic look with the pantsuit and sweater. However, the gorgeous boxy sleeves of the Shy Pullover can be a little bulky to wear under the Grace Blazer and works if you wear the blazer over the shoulders. So I went a different route with the past season tuxedo blouse and overaccessorized with layers of necklaces and pink aviator sunglasses.
BTW, I LOVE the side vents on the trousers (which show off your heels) but didn’t have a chance to hem them before we shot the photos.
Alternatively… For a work suit, this would be fabulous paired with the ideal button up top or poet cami. If you wanted to wear the blazer casually, then pair it with the Fold Pocket Tee, Button Fly Skinny, and Grommet Belt!

ODE TO THE 60s
I literally could NOT resist recreating this fabulous “Agent Americana” look from The Notion! Anytime there was a break in the fashion show, my gaze would go back to this photo! STUNNING! It makes it very retro and editorial with the headscarf and ginormous sunglasses. Ladies, if this is too much for you, then don’t add those two accessories. However, you know me and MORE is MORE!! I absolutely LOVE it! BTW, did you know that the Deadline Cardigan is reversible, either more navy or red stripes? I LOVE multi-use pieces. Also, the Kelly Wide Leg is a cropped silhouette of the Chance Wide Leg from last season. The sizing seems to run the same! (I have those pants in both black and navy because I love them so much.) You could switch out the Deadline Cardigan for the Deluxe Hoodie for a more casual and sporty look!

ODE TO THE 70s
Okay, the Reef Knot Blouse is another retro inspired shirt that I could not resist! The color and print are SO FUN and fabulous for Spring! It was perfect to wear with the flare Trouser Jeans. Just an FYI, they seem to run a little large. I ordered my normal size and they are looser. Again, the Shrimpton Scarf and oversized sunglasses lend to the vintage vibe which I love so much! If that’s not your thing, then leave it off for a sunny and happy look! Also, the Kenya Jacket it perfect to wear over the shoulders to elevate the look!

NEUTRAL ZONE
For my neutral loving ladies, I had to show this perfect pairing of tan and white with the Cropped Cable Pullover and Lido Crop! It’s easy, beautiful, and classic! This could also be worn with the Kenya Jacket for a Spring/Summer suit set! Note: The sweater is a cropped length so I have it tucked into a higher waist pant. If you aren’t comfortable with that or don’t want to worry about messing with a tuck/pulling it down, then you can wear the Comeback Tank or a V-neck cami under for more modesty.

CABI SCOOP RECAP
My California visit was a quick but supercharged and fun trip! Cabi events are always full of POSITIVE energy and vibes. You can really feel it from the ladies there! I’ve met some AMAZING women through CABI, and I was so excited to meet the influencers invited to the event. I’ve mentioned Alison of Wardrobe Oxygen before on the blog, and I was SO PUMPED to see her again. I met Ashlee of Cobalt Chronicles in Dallas during an Erin Condren event, and we learned that Alison was a mutual friend! (You can scroll through the above photos from Instagram!)
At Scoop, we attended two sessions. The Heart of CABI Foundation presentation is always one of my favorites and usually ends with me shedding some tears especially when they show the kids that are positively affected with a school education. Their Foundation does WONDERFUL things by empowering women entrepreneurs in developing worlds to work their way out of poverty and contribute to the education and future of Rwandan children. They have impacted over 3000 students and 62 countries in 15 years! Our next session was my FAVORITE because it was the Fashion Show!! Cue the screaming and applause!! I have major love for the CABI Design Team and CABI’s Creative Director, Daniele Trussardi!! You can watch the full fashion show online here by registering!
