Remember last week, when I went on and on about Garance Dore being in Dallas? You can’t tell that I’m a huge admirer, can you? Well, this is the outfit I wore to for her FIRST appearance.

Take a look at the last picture of my bag. You may be wondering if the kitchen sink is in there, but I was just being prepared. Contents of the bag: camera, macro lens {aka telescopic lens}, comfy flip flops, car keys, Karen Walker sunglasses, cosmetic bag, wallet, and iPhone. It’s possible that the bag weighed 50 kilograms.
Garance’s first public appearance was on the SMU campus in Dallas. Although I memorized the campus map, my navigation skills always lead my astray. Like a good girl scout, I brought flip flops to wander around the campus for when I inevitably got lost. AND I wasn’t sure if the classroom was going to be an auditorium, so a telescopic lens was needed of course! Luckily, I didn’t get too lost on the way in, but getting back to the car is a different story. I may or may not have taken a 20 minute walking detour. The classroom was really intimate. In fact, I felt uncomfortable taking out my camera to get a shot during the question and answer session. Ah well, always better to be prepared! More about Garance’s appearance in a later post…

Hope everyone is having a lovely week so far! Mr. S and I had a great weekend at Outstanding in the Field with our friends! A post on that coming soon also! And… it’s only 2 more days until we leave for London and Paris! I cannot wait! :)
