BEST SUSTAINABLE FASHION BRANDS

Hello GlamFam! I’m excited to share my five favorite and best sustainable fashion brands with you today. Some think sustainable style equals granola style. I’m here to dispel that myth. Sustainable and ethical fashion brands can be glam, chic, and beautiful. If you’ve been here a while, then these brands may seem familiar to you. I have so many staple and elevated pieces from these brands!

Christy Lynn Collection

Feminine and modern, Christy Lynn has a disciplined eye for delicate craftsmanship, fine details, luxurious fabrics, and timeless hues of color. I love this Houston based sustainable brand for so many reasons. Most pieces in her collection are made from the finest silk, exhibiting floral prints and luxe laces from Italy and France. Christy is a veteran of the fashion industry and spent over a decade in New York designing under Ellie Tahari and Catherine Malandrino.

I love all of her feminine pieces that feel so luxurious with this pink eyelet dress being one of my favorites. My current favorites are the vegan leather shorts and Jacqueline dress from the new season!

“Our clothes are an extension of who we are, so take us with you, with an intent to love and inspire.” – Christy Lynn.

Symbology Clothing

Symbology‘s mission is fair trade made sexy. Founded by my friend, Marisa, this sustainable clothing brand has become a favorite of mine throughout the years. Not only are their pieces incredibly fashion-forward and flattering, their goal to empower women by celebrating other cultures is unique. One dress impacts the 15 artisans and their family members.

I love their gorgeous dresses (see how to style the above dress 3 ways in this video) and visiting the storefront at Etico in Fort Worth.

Symbology’s items are truly one-of-a-kind and ones you won’t find anywhere else! Fun fact: I actually co-designed this sustainable dress with Symbology – you can see that process in this post!

Laude The Label

Tribe Alive (now known as LAUDE THE LABEL), is one of my go-to local brands in Fort Worth for sustainable fashion. After many visits to Ethiopia, the founder of this beautiful brand wanted to help the artisan community in other countries have a career to raise their family. This brand empowers women around the world to find financial freedom. How cool is that? Laude the Label’s goal is to create a style for the minimalist with high-quality, eco-friendly materials. Their pieces are truly designed to last.

I have so many of their everyday wear pieces and wear them as matched sets ~ easy, simple, and chic.

Reformation

With a sustainable design mission in mind, materials made at Reformation are effortless silhouettes that celebrate the beauty and femininity of women everywhere. To ensure the highest sustainability, all pieces made at Ref have holistic standards such as water input, energy input, land use, eco-toxicity, greenhouse gas emissions, human toxicity, availability, and price. The creators truly believe in bringing each piece to life while thinking about what you want to wear right now.

So many of their pieces are retro-inspired, and I love wearing them. I have dresses, jumpsuits, jeans, and tops. Of note, most of the dresses need some additional stitching so the slit isn’t so high for those of us who are a bit modest!

Everlane

Everlane believes in exceptional quality, ethical factories, and radical transparency. I am a huge fan of this brand because their pieces are made to last and created to be worn for years to come. Instead of designing on-trend clothes that might be worn for a year, Everlane sources timeless products like their grade-A cashmere sweaters, Italian shoes, and Peruvian basic tees. I love that their gorgeous and meticulously crafted pieces effortlessly create a capsule wardrobe for you! I’ve mentioned Everlane before in this post where I share WHY I love the brand so much! You can also see Everlane HERE.

Happy Friday GlamFam! This week seemed really busy because I actually LEFT THE HOUSE with my Little One for something other than school drop off! LOL! We did a little field trip to Dallas to do a photoshoot with the Chic at Every Age gals. Baby M was my helper and did really great the whole time. Luckily, Heather let her sit in her car which was right where we were shooting because it was windy and in the 50s!! Anyhow, we finished in time to get back and pick up Little M from school. That’s pretty adventurous for us these days!

Also, I was doing some home shoots to create content for YouTube, Instagram, and the blog. It takes SO MUCH LONGER when I’m doing it myself! However, I am trying to learn so it makes it a fun experience.

I couldn’t be more excited about the weekend… just because it’s the weekend!!! HOORAY!! What do you have going on this weekend?

Thank you so much for stopping by and supporting SOS!
