Another LBD

This LBD is an oldie but goodie!  I got it from H&M years ago when visiting my friend in Boston.

dress :: H&M
earrings :: from a coworker (she brought it back from India)
bracelet :: Mai Tai
bag :: Coach
shoes :: Valentino
It is a great work dress because it’s simple but comfortable at the same time.  The only thing that is troublesome is the split in the dress.  Sometimes it will open when sitting, but wearing a black slip makes it less noticeable.  (Apparently, wearing a slip is a thing of the past.  One my friends was discussing a cute white skirt that she almost got, but it was too transparent.  She asked, “And who wears a slip anymore?” to which I replied, “I do.” sheepishly)  Anyhow, I wanted to jazz up my LBD so I added fun accessories… large earrings, a fun purse, and rockin’ shoes.  Looking at the pictures, I think I should have attempted ONE bold accessory and not go OVERBOARD on everything.  It’s a little much!
I remember stalking this Coach purse.  It’s gorgeous with the complement of animal print and suede/ velvet accents and a rhinestone bow.  I stalked it until it made it’s way to the Coach outlet and then I NABBED it!!
FYI: If you absolutely love a new Coach purse but don’t love the price, then wait until the new season of handbags appear.  The old set will head to the outlets and can be up to 40% off (even the limited editions sometimes).  Disclaimer:  This was the case around 2005ish so I don’t know if it still holds true!
These Valentinos are one of my faves!  The kitten heels make them a breeze to walk in.  The pointy toe gives it a feminine look.  And the straps and studs make it phenomenal!  (Okay, these are shoes you either love or hate.  As you can tell, I L.O.V.E. them!)  I’ve never worn these to work because they are a little too attention grabbing, but I would love to work in a field where shoes like these are the norm!

Happy Friday!!
