Happy FRIDAY!!! I am SO glad it’s the weekend. I have been SO TIRED this week. I don’t know if it’s the heat, but I feel the need to nap when Little M is taking his in the afternoons. My good friend just left town (yay for friend visits), and we are going to enjoy a family weekend (and pancakes)!
We’re in the dead of heat during summer, and I cannot WAIT for Fall to come to Texas. It’s my favorite time of year because I love layering (and the smell in the air)! I start daydreaming about what I’m going to wear when the temps cool down… cozy sweaters, fuzzy jackets, cashmere scarves. BTW, wait until you see all of the phenomenal winter things I got from Grandma’s closet!
Anyhow, I love seeing all of the new Fall/Winter collections, and love it even MORE if I can wear an item NOW and then later! These celadon cargo pants are from the latest CAbi collection and totally fit the bill! They are the perfect shade of green for a transitional piece! I am currently wearing them with a white linen tee and cork wedges for an easy summer look. In Fall, it will be perfect with the cowl poncho, knee high boots, and a wool hat! (So I donned that winter outfit so y’all could see how cute it was, but I was sweating buckets under that sweater! That’s how much I love y’all!) P.S. They’re super soft!

I’ve been kicking myself lately for getting rid of my cargo pants (but they were old and technically jeggings, haha…gotta get a new pair) and I LOVE that poncho, it looks so cozy!

It’s a great side by side to do. I’ve often wondered how I could do something like that on my blog, haven’t figured it out yet, as I don’t have time to dress up in different outfits, I just take a quick picture as I go out for the day. I have a huge archive of photos, just need to think harder about how to put them to use, without adding too much time to the amount of time it takes to create a blog post.
