For those of you that just tuned in, From Grandma with Love is a twice-monthly series that is one of my faves! I’m lucky to be the recipient of my Grandmother-in-law’s beautiful wardrobe. She owned so many unique pieces, and I’ve had the MOST FABULOUS time styling it on the blog. It’s a win-win for me because I ADORE vintage and a fun excuse to wear it!

This is THE DRESS that started it all! I wore this for the very first From Grandma with Love, but it’s so good that it needs repeating! Apparently, there were matching shorts for that open flap in front. That’s what gave me the idea to wear it with white pants.

Have you seen the street style pictures with stylish women wearing a dress over pants?! This was a perfect opportunity to try just that!

THE STYLE Rx: Want to change up a dress?! Wear it over pants/jeans. If you’re a little unsure, then you can try matching the dress and pant (i.e. black mini dress and pants). Go for the cool girl look by wearing a longer dress (that wraps or buttons in front) over jeans with heels!

My accessories are inspired by the Dolce & Gabbana runway shows and campaigns with their use of headpieces and major jewelry. Their mix of heavy florals, brocade, embroidery, and baroque crowns make my heart skip and scream luxe and feminine at the same time.

My headband is very old and either from Claires, Forever 21, or Target (aka Tarjay)! LOL! When you find a good headband, then you should hang on to it! BTW, have you seen the Sugarfix line at Target? My cute gold earrings are from there! It’s produced by BaubleBar (my fave!) but at a lower cost (range is from $9-20) which is WHY it’s so good! Darn it Target! #ishouldbebannedfromtarget

A white bag and pants were an easy match especially because it is already in the 90s here in Fort Worth. Plus, I cannot get enough of white during the Summer! And I’m loving the idea of wearing dresses over pants. I recently got a yellow floral ruffle wrap dress at Tarjay and plan on trying it over skinny jeans!

Happy Friday Friends! We are having a very low-key celebration for Baby M with a BBQ, slip-n-slide, and kiddie pool! I cannot believe she is going to be TWO! She’s not a baby anymore! And I cannot believe that Mr. S and I just celebrated our 15 year anniversary! So many big things this month. We did a last minute dinner to celebrate. Next month, we are going to have a staycation in Dallas. Hope y’all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
