For those of you that just tuned in, From Grandma with Love is a twice-monthly series that is one of my faves! I’m lucky to be the recipient of my Grandmother-in-law’s beautiful wardrobe. She owned so many unique pieces, and I’ve had the MOST FABULOUS time styling it on the blog. It’s a win-win for me because I ADORE vintage and a fun excuse to wear it!

This gorgeous embroidered linen dress was waiting to be worn, and the weather finally cooperated! I LOVE LOVE LOVE linen pieces. Linen wears so nicely and is a great breathable material for warmer weather. Some of my friends complain about the wrinkles, but I think they add to the character of the material.
Linen was all the rage on the Spring/ Summer runways in the form of a jumpsuit. Why not translate that to a linen dress which is an easy one-and-done outfit too?! The material is enough to keep it interesting. Just add the right accessories, and you’re all set for a fabulous day. I added these fun pearl hoop earrings that my friend, Katey, curated with Mad Jewels. Aren’t they so cute but elegant at the same time?
THE STYLE Rx: Linen is lovely and luxe for warm weather. Even linen blends can help you beat the heat without a wrinkle (if that bothers you).
A denim jacket is a great topper since the air conditioning is always cranked up indoors during the Summer. Throw it over the shoulders for a chic gal look or wear it when the temps lower. Either way, it adds a little masculinity to a very feminine dress.
Platforms. CHECK. Sandals. CHECK. Neutral. CHECK. You had me at platform sandals. It’s hard for me to pass up platform shoes since I was a prodigy of the 80s-90s. And when they’re nude colored, it’s all over for me! Nude heels/sandals elongate your legs which is why I have way too many pairs in my closet.
Do you love linen as much as I do? (Here are some past linen posts – a GMA dress, button-up shirt, and asymmetric tee.) What are your favorite kinds of pieces? I actually just bought a matching Mommy and me linen dress! Can’t wait to be twinning with my little one for Mother’s Day!
Happy Friday Y’all! Both kids have a dentist appointment today, and we are going to do a “campfire cookout” with some friends tonight. The kids loved the backyard campout so much that we’re doing a mini version. Can’t wait because the in-laws are coming over for an easy Mother’s Day dinner on Sunday. What are you up to this weekend?

Oh what a beautiful dress! It fits right in with all the trends at the moment, and is perfect with your denim jacket. I’m not sure if it’s because fashion goes in cycles or your mother in law bought such classic pieces, but you wear your vintage pieces just as well and as stylishly as the pieces you buy recently! If you hadn’t labelled it it would be hard to tell which outfits are vintage and which are current sometimes. I really enjoy this series :)
Hope that you are having a great weekend to end your week! :) Happy mother’s day!
