After an impromptu lunch date with Mr. S at NM Cafe, I was walking through Neiman Marcus and exclaimed to him how much I LOVE Spring because of all of the colors and happy prints. He replied, “You LOVE everything. Remember, you love Fall too!” LOL! And that is so TRUE. I just love clothes! And THIS TOP is just one that screams, “HELLO! I LOVE SPRING and BIRDS!” It just makes me smile! :)

Think of this as a different kind of animal print (literally) but just as versatile! PRINTS are a fun way to add color to your wardrobe. This season, almost EVERYTHING is in – logos, art-inspired (think Andy Warhol prints on clothing), tropical, floral, rainbow colors, polka dots, slogans, checks/tartan/gingham prints, and stripes!

THE STYLE Rx: Prints and pattern pretty up any particular piece of clothing! Pick a print that speaks to you and wear it with joy!

For this outfit, I kept it pretty simple so the focus could be on this fabulous parakeet blossom top. White jeans, statement earrings (of course), and olive sandals were perfect for a day of either running errands and meeting a friend for coffee.

An off-the-shoulder print top would also be cute worn with flare jeans, or partially tucked into a flared skirt or midi skirt! I’ve seen it worn all three ways which are perfect for Spring.

This parakeet blossom print is pretty special because Fort Worth local designer, Brooke Wright, creates new prints every season. They are all so fun and whimsical and bring JOY. When all of the fabric is used for the season, it’s gone!!! I missed out on this beautiful floral off the shoulder top (as seen my friend Lauren) because I waited too long. When I went to her studio, she showed me the scrap (literally it was maybe 10 x 10″) material left of that floral print.

If you love beautiful prints (or just clothes in general like me), then check out her latest collection. I want to get Mommy and Me dresses in the multi Otomi print and the orange blossom caftan!

BTW, it was absolutely FREEZING when did this Spring shoot in January and SO windy. The wind chill made it feel like it was in the 30s, and I’m outside like cuckoo in an off the shoulder top! #thingsyoudofortheblog (I was doing this for a Vionic Shoe collaboration, but this outfit is too cute not to share!)

Happy Wednesday Friends! Hope your week has been going well! I’m just trying to survive this week. I think the time change somehow has me AND the children super tired.

While it might have been too cold for an off the shoulder top, it is beautiful and it’s great you got to wear it right away! You’re right, it’s such a fun print for spring :)

The little birdie was right… the prints are in this season. I love the way this white background looks on you. The off shoulder white top in floral print looks amazing. I also made a post on how to wear prints, here are shown my fav floral print ideas: http://wardrobefocus.com/2018-floral-print-clothes-for-women-during-cold-season/
    Hope you like it,
