Happy FEBRUARY GlamFam!! Did January go by so quickly or was that just me? February is the month of love, and I LOVE celebrating it! Valentine’s Day is a special occasion and one of my favorite holidays that is celebrated by couples all over the world. Whether you’re staying in or going out, it’s important to dress to impress (your significant other OR yourself). Here are some fail-proof Valentine’s Day outfit ideas and tips on what to wear for each occasion!
You will also see a variation of this post on Busbee Style, my friend Erin’s blog, which empowers women over 40! You will have to check out all of the amazing articles available on her site as well as her fabulous YouTube channel. Erin has been mentioned on my blog multiple times like here, here and here!
STAYING IN – VALENTINE’S DAY OUTFIT IDEAS
- If you’re staying in for a cozy night at home, opt for comfortable yet stylish loungewear. A cute pair of sweatpants or leggings paired with a cozy sweater or sweater dress will keep you comfortable while still looking cute.
- You could also go for a matching pajama set for a more put-together look. Of course, this is MY PERSONAL preference! I LOVE cozy pajamas.
- Add some accessories like a pair of slippers, a statement necklace, or some earrings to add some extra sparkle.
I LOVE loungewear and comfortable pajamas! There’s no reason why you cannot dress them up with cute and fun accessories! Whether you’re adding something like a festive heart themed headband, vintage earrings, or matching red/pink lips, you will be loving your cozy look!
Since Valentine’s Day is a Tuesday, we are likely staying in and cozy pajamas will be MY OUTFIT OF CHOICE!! LOL!

GOING OUT
- If you’re going out for a special dinner or a night on the town, go for a dressy outfit. A little black dress is always a classic choice, or you could opt for a pretty red dress to match the theme of the holiday.
- A gorgeous color combination that will be sure to turn heads is red AND pink together.
- Pair your dress with some heels and a clutch for a polished look.
- Add some statement jewelry or a red lip for an extra touch of glamour.
Here I went for another easy monochromatic look with a pink statement top, wide-leg pants, matching pink accessories, and a faux fur jacket! I got lots of compliments from my husband and my children! Check out my previous post on monochromatic dressing here!
No matter what you choose to wear, the most important thing is to feel confident and comfortable. Dress in a way that makes you feel good, and you’ll be sure to have a great time on Valentine’s Day.
