What She Really Wants for Mother’s Day

Hey Hey Beautiful Friends!

Today, I have a very special Mother’s Day post for y’all! I’ve asked my dear friends and family what they wanted for Mother’s Day. They are NOT bloggers, just truly AWESOME people in my life who happen to be mothers too! I LOVE their responses!  It’s NOT a sponsored post and doesn’t have anything to do with material gifts (per se). Although, I do know some mommas appreciate that also! Comment below if you want some of those ideas as I have plenty.

I hope you’ll take these ideas as inspiration to do something special with your loved ones. The common theme seems to be quality time with the family, of course! Also, I hope you enjoy these candid pictures of my MIL, mother, aunt, cousin (as a baby) and myself!

Early morning family yoga class to nourish the body, mind and cultivate gratitude.❤

Last year my family treated me to MY favorite brunch place, and my sons paid for it!!  That was a great Mother’s Day gift because it was a true gift for ME!  They would have picked Denny’s!  Haha!

One year, husband staged a family photo shoot backyard on a Sunday before church, for Mother’s Day.  That was incredible because I love family photos. We were all dressed up for church, and I treasure those pics.

This year, a moment of silence would be incredible.

I think with an almost 3 yr old and 1 yr old the biggest gift would be a nap.  Soo sooo tired ????????????????????

All I want for Mother’s Day is a fun day planned by someone else with my boys and husband where there’s no disciplining required or arguing. The fun filled part doesn’t have to be anything out of the ordinary, just spending time together playing a game or eating. Oh yes, and maybe, just maybe, a break from some of my motherly duties! Ok, maybe that last part is asking for too much. ????

Mothers are truly special people. They give us life, raise us, love us, and make us the people we are today!

My wish for mother’s day (especially in current circumstances with baby due) is a child-free cocktail hour, preferably with female friends!

Family, wine and chocolate.  And of course, church!

For Mother’s Day, I’d just appreciate some thought. Something that says “I know you work endlessly to make our days work and I thought you might appreciate ‘x’” like ordering take out from a nice restaurant so I don’t have to cook, organizing a facial/mani/pedi, or even setting up a service to clean the house just one time. I’m probably like most women where if our significant other just thought for 30 seconds, we’d appreciate the effort more than anything!

Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did. It was SO FUN to put together, and I loved reading what everyone wanted for Mother’s Day! Are you planning anything special for your mother or yourself?

Happy (late) Thursday! This post was supposed to happen Wednesday but #adulting and #momlife sometimes get in the way! I had actually emailed my friends and family in APRIL!! That’s so ahead of time for me! LOL! We are hanging at home with literally NO option to leave since Mr. S took Baby M’s car seat to work by mistake! Hope your week is going well!! xx

Thank you so much for stopping by and supporting SOS! I truly appreciate it!
