There’s No Place Like Home

I want to THANK everyone for the warm wishes for safe travels and a nice welcome back!  Nicaragua was an experience, and I’m trying to organize and edit all the pictures.  It’s good to be home, but now I’m in a perpetual state of catching up!  And thank you again Mashawna for the guest post!
Here’s an outfit of the day to keep you busy {while I get my mission trip post ready}!  I wore this to dinner at The Woodshed with Mr. S and some friends before the mission trip.

top: thrifted Ungaro // jeans: H&M // jacket: Elizabeth and James {similar} // heels: Prada {similar} // earrings: Lucky // bag: LV // sunglasses: Karen Walker

Mr. S was giving me a hard time about the top.  He couldn’t understand why anyone would want a blouse that buttons down the back!  I guess he hasn’t seen the backwards cardigan trend!  LOL!  Besides the unique back, I love it for the side ruching, draping, and asymmetrical pleat at the shoulder.  Plus, you can’t beat a silk top for $8.  Anyhow, this was a variation of the uniform I’ve been wearing – comfy top, skinny jeans, and animal print heels!
And take a look at the yummy food served at The Woodshed, a new Tim Love restaurant in Fort Worth.  It’s located on the Trinity Trail and overlooks the river.  Four of us shared a 16 hour smoked beef shin and had LOTS of leftovers to take home.  Since I loved it so much before the mission trip, I went again the day we got back in town from Nicaragua.  The chocolate meringue pie was a “Welcome home from Nicaragua” dessert to me and my girlfriend!  Let’s just say it was devoured quickly!

Happy Wednesday Loves!
{And I’ll be catching up on comments and blogs today after work!}
