Mr. S and I went to a birthday dinner this past weekend. I had it on the calendar and got a reminder from my iPhone that morning. The day flew by and then I realized there was only 15 minutes to get ready! And that’s when the little black dress came to my rescue!

Since I didn’t have time to think, I went for the little black dress and piled on some gold jewelry. I’ve had this dress since 1998, and got it at a discount when my 2nd job was at The Limited. There have been times I’ve contemplated donating this dress. Luckily for me on Sunday evening, I had NOT! It’s simple, stretchy, and black {perfect for eating Italian food}!
This dress is a classic shape. It’s easy to wear on it own, or layered with a blazer or sweater for work. The spaghetti straps are nice for summer, but not when I’m feeling bad about my arms. It’s also the perfect length. It hits above my knees, but isn’t too short when I’m sitting. The one thing I love and hate about the dress is the material. It’s a jersey which hangs nicely and stretches, but can show every bump! When examining my own pictures, I see my strapless bra silhouette. That’s something to consider when picking your little black dress.
The little black dress is perfect for any occasion… brunch, dinner, work, or even a night at the ballet! Every gal should have a little black dress in her wardrobe arsenal! Do you?!
