Animal print always adds some fun to an otherwise plain outfit (and makes me feel a little sassy)! Inspired by Jen from Red Soles and Red Wine, I’m going to try animal print with polka dots next time! I wore this outfit while on the prowl for something new from Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s line, but I left empty handed!
top :: Limited (old)
skirt :: Zara
heels :: BCBG (from Marshall’s)
purse :: Chanel
bangle :: F21
These heels remind me of Prada from a couple of season’s ago. BCBG always seems to have designer “inspired” shoes.
I tried on five dresses from the Karl Lagerfeld collection (I’m only showing four because the black jersey dress is really hard to see because of my iphone pic quality). Although the designs looked amazing from the ads, I wasn’t as impressed with them in person. I REALLY wanted to love the black and white dress, but I felt it was too pricey for the quality.
{1} Pink Sheath for $99 :: I thought it would be more of a nude pink color, but it was more of a baby pink. It was a stretchy cotton, and that was size XS on me – so it runs large. Size down if you get it.
{2} Tweed Zip Front Shift for $129 :: I have on a size XS. The cuffs on the sleeves were uncomfortable under my arms – they felt bulky. And the zipper was difficult to pull up. Cute shape overall.
{3} Sleeveless Turtleneck Tweed Dress for $129 :: I have on a size 4 and the bottom half fit well, but I need more up top to fill it out. (Sorry I blocked the turtleneck part with the iphone.) Again, the zipper was difficult to pull up.
{4} Sleeveless Contrast Collar Dress for $124 :: I tried on the size 4. It fit well, but there is a ruched “belt” that wasn’t flattering. This is the dress that I really wanted to love, but just didn’t work.
Hope that is helpful if anyone was interested in the collection. It’s not getting as much hype as the Missoni for Target line.
