Starting From Scratch

I usually have a stockpile of outfit pictures for 1-2 weeks of blog posts.  However, my new camera lens arrived, and I tested it out for the “Repeat” post on 11.22.11.  When I look at my outfit pictures taken previously, they just look so blah.  So I decided to start from scratch!  I choose quality over quantity for my readers {because y’all are awesome}!

dress | Piazza Sempione {different version}

OTK boots | Coach {similar}
necklace | mom {similar}
ring | mom {similar on sale}
cuff | Mai Tai
scarf | Christian Lacroix (last seen here) {similar}
bag | Chanel

Neiman Marcus Last Call had a huge sale before Thanksgiving, and I had a gift card that was burning a hole in my pocket to use.  I went in to browse and found some amazing items like this dress {and this Celine sweater at 90% off retail}! The dress is a stretchy silk, was less than $100, and has pockets!  I was drawn to it because of the simple shape and beautiful color.  The top is supposed to be buttoned but I left it open to fall and create a nice waterfall effect.  Next time, I’ll belt it and wear it buttoned.  My OTK Coach boots were a Marshalls find for $39.99!  {I think I’ve mentioned them before.}

This is a picture of the dress buttoned up at the collar.  It gives it a modern chic look.

Would you start from scratch?  And did you notice a difference in picture quality from 11.22.11? {Maybe I’ll come up with a clever way to use my old photos.}
