Everything Worth Buying at the Shopbop Sale + Lulu Frost Sale

Why is that when sales happen, they all happen at the same time? It’s like feast or famine for the wallet!! I told you there were lots of sales happening in my newsletter last week! Anyhow, sale time is my buying time. I stock up on designer pieces that I’ve been eyeing and basics that need to be replaced (faded jeans, tees, etc).

A picture says 1000 words so I’m going to show you what’s in my closet that I love!

First up is the Lulu Frost Sample Sale! These are archival favorites, never-before-seen exclusives, and one-of-a-kind treasures at up to 80% off retail prices. YES! I first learned about Lisa Salzer (Lulu Frost founder) back in 2013 when she did pieces for J Crew. Then, I saw her speak at the IFB Conference in NY and I was so inspired by her story. She was only 30 back then and very successful. Obviously, I LOVE her vintage-meets-modern jewelry – that’s speaking MY language!

The sample sale page will be continually updated with styles until 4/16 when it ends! I hope you find some amazing pieces.

P.S. That last picture is a sneak peek of an upcoming From Grandma with Love post! ;)

The jewelry pieces were gifted PR samples from Lulu Frost. (I would have bought them anyways!) Thank you for supporting brands that make this blog possible. All opinions are my own and I only work with brands that I love!

Now, here are some pieces already in my closet from the ShopBop Sale!

LITTLE WHITE DRESS (original post here)

Everyone needs a little white dress for Spring and Summer Soirees! This cute one has bell sleeves, an open back, and is less than $100 before the sale!

LEVI’S MOM JEANS (Seen here and here)

You can’t go wrong with a classic like Levi’s! The button-fly jeans have made a come-back in the “wedgie” jeans, and I love them! They are rigid denim (100% cotton so no stretch). I took my usual size 26. They are called “mom jeans” since they are high-waisted so no butt cracks when you bend over! Hallelujah! LOL!

CROPPED SKINNY JEANS (original post here)

When you find a good skinny jean, all is good in the world! I discovered this brand last year after trying a pair of denim cut-off shorts (see below) and decided to try their jeans. Although my exact wash isn’t available, the white jeans and dark wash are the same cut and the perfect length for a shortie like me (I’m 5’4″).

It’s a high rise but not too high. I consider it a mid-rise on me since it’s 9.75″ rise and a true high rise for me is at least 10.5″ since I have a long torso. They seem to run large and stretch so I am wearing size 25.

CROPPED RAW HEM JEANS (original post here)

Everyone looks great in straight jeans except for me… until I found these cropped raw-hem jeans. I definitely took a chance on these jeans because I spotted them on sale. They are a true high-rise jean and the hem is what makes it look good. It gives the illusion that I’m taller which always works for me. These are also a rigid denim, and I took my true size 26.

DENIM CUT OFF JEANS (original post here)

So I never thought that I would pay “full price” for jeans that were “cut off” until I tried on Heather’s short after of our shoots. Darn it with my fashionable friends! I bought two pairs of denim shorts (the other were Levi’s) and ended up keeping this pair! What I love about them are the high-rise and rigid denim! Have you seen a theme with my jean love?! LOL! I also sized down to a 25 in these pair.

FLOUNCE JEANS (post here and here)

Again, my fashionable friends got me into trouble. After seeing these jeans on Cathy and Heather, I decided that I also needed them. Currently, the white flounce jeans are part of the sale, and the velvet ones are on MAJOR sale! The ruffles definitely elevate your jean game! These tend to run small, so I got my usual size 26 but probably should have gotten size 27! Just an FYI!

HOOP EARRINGS (post coming soon)

Haha! So you are getting a sneak peek at an upcoming Mother’s Day post! Anyhow, those super fun statement earrings are lightweight and come in a blue and yellow colorway!

LELE SADOUGHI LILY EARRINGS (all of these posts!)

To say that I love Lele Sadoughi jewelry is probably an understatement! I LOVE how they elegant, elevated, and sophisticated her pieces are but also lightweight! Shopbop has the black crystal lily pair as part of the sale, and I think that you would get tons of wear from it if that’s your color! I tend to wear a lot of lighter color earrings because of my hair color!
