How to Wear a Waterfall Top

Happy Monday Friends!! I’m still catching up from being at Alt Summit in Palm Springs and so excited to finally share these Wind Farm pictures with y’all. And why not wear a waterfall shirt to a Wind Farm?!

You’ve seen this Palmer Harding top previously HERE with white culottes and platform sandals. I wanted to share how to wear this fabulous high-low hem top a little more casually since you are seeing this trend everywhere.

This is what I wore for the last day of the Alt Summit conference when I was doing my round table discussion on Curating an Instagram Feed. The look I was going for was unique but comfortable. The ripped boyfriend jeans bring the waterfall top down a notch (even though I’m always in for good fashion drama!) but the bow mules keep it classy. You’ll see on my Instagram that I also wore it with Superga sneakers to walk around the desert terrain. It was serendipity, but I like the way it looks too!

THE STYLE Rx: A waterfall top is a beautiful and dramatic piece to have in your wardrobe. Go BIG by wearing it with full and/or flowy bottoms (as shown here) or keep it casual with jeans and sneakers (or mules for a dressier look). Balance the flowy top with a leaner silhouette on the bottom to maintain your shape.

I love the construction of Palmer Harding tops. Although they have such a large structure and silhouette, there is a strap within the shirt that goes from each side seam and rests on your back to keep a waist detail. It’s brilliant in my opinion! This was definitely an investment piece for me but there are similar styles for less like here and here.

Erin of Busbee Style is the gorgeous gal in the picture and was my roomie and partner-in-crime for the event. We roomed together previously at NYFW. I love her honesty and focus. (She knows where she is going and is on the fast track there!) Besides being a beautiful person, she is a momma of two young ones, former news reporter, and has killer style. BTW, she also has an AMAZING You Tube channel where she shares applicable style and beauty tips. Seriously, go subscribe to her!

Here’s to a new week! I’m feeling refreshed (after tons of coffee) and ready to tackle some chores. I’m putting away Christmas decorations (#momlife, don’t judge!) and cleaning up my scary bathroom counter that been a jewelry/ makeup/ skincare deposit for the last three weeks. It ISN’T pretty!
