London Part I // Meeting Marlene

Hi Lovelies, I’m back!  Hope everyone’s week is going well!  It was a whirlwind week and a half in London and Paris.  Too bad it’s back to the grindstone now.  One of the highlights of my London visit and year was meeting Marlene of Chocolate, Cookies, and Candies.
Lil L, Marlene, and me at Aubaine in MayFair!  Photo by Mr. S.

I’m wearing:  Helmut Lang leather jacket thanks to Barney x Pose gift card, thrifted Prada sweater {similar}, H&M jeans, Sam Edelman Louie boots, c/o ViX Paula Hermanny silk scarf, Hermes bag

Check out what Marlene is wearing in this post!

First things first, isn’t her daughter Lil L delightful?  She, literally, spread smiles with her immense cuteness as pedestrians walked by!  And let’s talk about Marlene shall we?  I first discovered Marlene on tPF because of our love for Hermes and fell in love with her blog at first site.  She takes beautiful photography and is so witty and funny in her posts.  Marlene and I have corresponded via email for a couple of years now, and I was so HAPPY when she contacted me after reading I was headed her way.  We spent the whole day together eating, strolling, and window shopping, and it wasn’t enough time to chat about anything and everything…  if only we lived closer.  She is every bit as beautiful, funny, and smart as I imagined!
When I told Mr. S that we were going to meet a “blogger friend” and her family, he took it very well surprisingly!  Usually, Mr. S gives me the look when I speak of my “virtual friends”, but he was excited to meet locals.  AND actually, he and Marlene’s husband got along very well!  They were just as chatty, if not more, than we were.

THANK YOU Marlene and family for taking the time to meet us and being such wonderful hosts!

Because of my disorganization, I missed out on meeting Stacey of Five Minute Style and Lena, another Hermesophile.  Next time for sure!

Do you notice the silk scarves that Marlene and I are wearing?  The fabulous Grace at ViX Paula Hermanny graciously sent them to us!  Stay tuned for a possible something fun coming up involving those scarves. Wink, wink!
