Chic at Every Age // Lilla P Origami Top

It’s that time again… CHIC AT EVERY AGE.  This week, we’re styling the LILLA P ORIGAMI TOP!

For those of you that have just tuned in, this fab collab is exactly how it sounds… a chic chick in her 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s shows you how to style a piece in their own way. I’m working with some of my FAVORITE gals in Dallas!!

The 20-something // Natalie of The Fashion Hour

The 30-something // ME!

The 40-something // Heather of So Heather

The 50-something // Cathy of The Middle Page

Photography // Becca of Beckley & Co

So, I LOVE this one! You KNOW I love anything that is multi-use or multi-way, so I am so OBSESSED with this top! As the Lilla P Origami top name implies, it can be folded and twisted in so many ways to create different looks!! It comes in five different colors and is SO FUN! Right now, Lilla P is having a Memorial Day Sale with 25% off site wide!

Sorry, we’ve been MIA lately. We usually have a CAEA post up every other Friday, but we had to reschedule our photo shoot THREE different times because of the rain! So here we finally are again!

We all wore jeans but styled the top in different ways. We didn’t even talk about how we were doing it! That was the best part! Cathy wore hers as a high-low wrap top over a lace camisole with white skinny jeans – so cool, especially with that fun clutch! Heather wore it as an off the shoulder wrap top with distressed skinny jeans! So chic! I decided to do try it as a one shoulder top with cropped flare jeans.  And I LOVE LOVE LOVE how Natalie wore hers as a halter top with that hat! Seriously, she is so cute!

THE STYLE Rx: Get twenty different tops (maybe even more) by getting ONE origami top!

The fab thing is that you can simply wear the top as on open cardigan over a lace cami, and you’re done! However, I LOVE trying out new ways to wear it. I actually have a black version of this. In pharmacy residency, my director laughed at me because he said that I was wearing it a different way every time he came out of his office! LOL!

I actually wore this outfit on an impromptu date night with Mr S. Our dinner guests cancelled last minute. Since we had a babysitter, we took advantage of the night! I love neutrals, and the cream color, called canvas, was perfect to wear with my bow mules, windchime earrings, and grey bag.

Heather asked how I styled it this way. Basically,  I put it on with the opening in the back (like a hospital gown) and then wrap it around to tie it in front. I tied mine on the side, but you can tie it in the middle too. Then, I folded the top down (to create a “lapel”) and then pull one shoulder down. Viola! Please let me know if this makes sense. If not, I can try to make a short video for y’all!

BTW, I know those rose aviator sunglasses are crazy and make me look so 70s, but I’m SO OBSESSED with them! LOL!

FIT DETAILS: The origami top is ONE SIZE FITS ALL! I’m wearing size 26 in Levi’s denim. It’s true to size and rigid denim (100% cotton) so minimal, if any, stretch.

Happy Friday Friends! Hope y’all had a fabulous week! Baby girl is turning ONE and so we are having a family birthday party on Saturday! I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone by! Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!
