Giovanna Battaglia is one of my style icons. She makes everything look ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! It’s possible that everything looks amazing because she was a former Dolce and Gabbana model (and editor for Vogue Italia). Nonetheless, I like to think it’s because of her wonderful style. I bought a beautiful floral skirt from the consignment shop (it came with a matching top but it needs alterations to fit) for $10. I love the cut and colors of the skirt. It really reminded me of something Gio would wear so I decided to do an “Ode to Gio” outfit! {Stayed tuned for my upcoming “Ode to Alexa Chung” ensemble!}
top :: Gap
skirt :: Ann Lawrence for Neiman Marcus (thrifted for $10)
belt :: WHBM
heels :: ?? c/o mom
clutch :: gifted from neighbor (when I was younger)
My fashion equation for Gio’s style = fab skirt + simple top + bazillion bracelets + strappy sandals + unique bag.
:: bracelets (from left to right) ::
gold link :: John Wind
mulitcharm :: thrifted
green jewel :: Givenchy
green gem :: JCrew
pink/gold :: World Market
red/brown :: El Salvador
pearl :: John Wind
bead :: Central Market
prayer beads :: China
Simple hair is a must. She wears minimal make up. (Let’s get real! That would scare you if I did that!)
Meet the fabulous Gio!

Who is your style icon? {My most influential style icon is my mother. She taught me to be myself, love unique things, and work with the imperfections that I have!}
