Come on Barbie, Let’s Go Party

how to wear a pink dress, msgm bow collar pink crepe dress

There’s no denying my LOVE of pink.  I always have and always will have a passion for pink!  Much to the dismay of my parents, I wanted to paint my room pink as a young girl. Remember what John Fussell, Chanel make-up artist, told me? Pink is a calming color and is associated with positive feelings which is why some prisons have holding cells painted pink.

When I saw this dress on major sale at Moda Operandi, it was in my basket within a second.  Pink, check. Dramatic collar, check. Pockets, check. Worn by Lady Gaga, check.  I think all of my checks are checked!

I wore this dress on Christmas Day to mass.  Hey, we were in Houston and it was a beautiful and balmy eighty degrees out!  It makes me think of the song, “Come on Barbie, Let’s Go Party” because it’s such a bright pink dress!

THE STYLE Rx:  A pink dress should be a secret weapon in your wardrobe arsenal.  The color pink is thought to provide calming and soothing properties, and it happens to be one of the Pantone colors of the year (rose quartz).  It’s perfect for meeting new people to put yourself at ease!

Hope y’all have a gorgeous and beautiful weekend!  What are your plans? I’ll be organizing like a fiend and possibly attending a zoo birthday and going-away party!
