Hello Beautiful Friends! Corsets are a thing now, and I’m showing y’all how to wear my favorite but older Josh Goot corset top in a real girl way. It’s different than the corset we saw on Kate Winslet in The Titanic, but the theory behind it is the same. Corsets give the illusion of a smaller waist and even Madonna took on the slim silhouette in the 90s. Today, you’ll see corset belts and corset tops in a more relaxed state so you can actually breathe and are very wearable.

I’ve been looking for ways to get more use out of the clothing already in my closet and was inspired by the latest street style darlings to try my corset top over a white button-up shirt with jeans. I mean… why not?! It’s fun to try different things in fashion if you get a chance. If it doesn’t work, then take it off!
Here are three ways to try the corset trend!
HOW TO WEAR A CORSET TOP
First, you can wear it as is (seen in this previous post). Here’s the deal. You have to like how your arms and shoulders look because they are going to be showing.
Second, you can wear it with a jacket/blazer thrown over it. This would look great with a pair of skinny jeans and heels.
Third, you can wear it OVER something as I did above. A white button-up shirt makes for a dressier outfit (it would have been better if my shirt was not SO wrinkled!) or you can wear it over a t-shirt with jeans for a casual cool-girl take on it too.
HOW TO WEAR A CORSET BELT
These are perfect for showing off a waistline for an oversized blazer, statement-sleeve top, or loose dress. Basically, it defines your waist giving you some Vava-Voom shape! And take a peek at that rainbow Dolce & Gabbana corset belt!! It’s amazingly bright!
ONE AND DONE
These corsets are BUILT-IN making is super simple to wear as a top or dress! Thank you genius fashion designers! You just put it on and go!
Happy Wednesday Friends! Did any of y’all take advantage of all the amazing sales?! The problem for me is the snowball effect of sales. Once I get started on one, then it’s easier for me to buy at another one. Then, it’s all over for my wallet! Yikes!
Anyhow, we are doing good over here. The littles have been going to school while I’ve been organizing the house (aka getting rid of stuff). It’s amazing how getting one closet done can make you feel like Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! (I did the upstairs storage closet – aka junk storage)!
