Happy December GlamFam! Can you believe it’s already here? As usual, I am behind on all the holiday decor. We have the Christmas tree up and the decoration storage boxes out. Hooray! However, I’m still trying to set up the fireplace mantle and the rest of the decor. Boo! LOL! Just kidding. I’m happy to have some of it done! Anyhow, we are getting geared up for Christmas, and I’m sharing holiday looks for staying in or going out!

You will also see a small variation of this post on Busbee Style, my friend Erin’s blog, which empowers women over 40! You will have to check out all of the amazing articles available on her site as well as her fabulous YouTube channel. Erin has been mentioned on my blog multiple times like here, here and here!

GOING OUT

Are you headed out for a holiday party or NYE?! It’s time to have some fun!! Here is your opportunity to shimmer and shine! Love sequins? Sparkle in them! Love feathers? You know what they say about “Birds of a Feather…”! Love both? Why not?! (Side note: I’m loving this sequin mesh dress!! It would be so chic with a skin-colored slip underneath. This is a fabulous look for less by Zara! )  If any of these are TOO MUCH for you, then try just ONE piece. Here are some style equations that I’ve worn in the past:

You can get head to toe in your favorite material – sequins, feathers, satin/silk, leather, velvet – and you will be perfect for the holiday! In the above photos, I am wearing a green sequin dress and a matching faux fur jacket. The double green makes a fun statement!! (The jacket has adjustable side ties but I just tied them in the back so it would look dressier.) I’ve also paired it with gold platform heels that can be worn later. If you don’t like bare legs, then try these sequin pantyhose that have been circulating on social media! I want a pair! LOL!

THE STYLE Rx: Sequins or Softies! You can go either way and still look fab for the holidays!

STAYING IN

Are you more of an introvert or just want to cozy up at home this year? There is NOTHING wrong with that! In fact, that is what I prefer! My suggestion for this (and many other style scenarios) is the simple matched set whether it’s a tracksuit, sweats, or sweater set! Why not BE COZY? I am wearing the Saturday set sweater and elastic waistband pants – chic and cozy. Doesn’t that sound dreamy?!

You can wear fun accessories like headbands, earrings, fun socks, or fuzzy slippers to make your outfit more festive! I love themed holiday parties, and here is my list of fun accessories to make anything fun and joyful!

Happy Wednesday GlamFam!!! The house is in serious disarray with all the Christmas decoration boxes! I need to finish up so it doesn’t look like we just moved in! I feel like this week started off busy since we’ve had an activity after school every day! However, the countdown is on until Christmas break! I’m almost done Christmas and birthday shopping. Mr. S’s birthday is right after Christmas!  Anyhow, I started doing a new meditation practice. After two weeks, I will give you an update! Also, I am working on that designer dupe blog post to go with the YouTube video! Until the next post…
