Go Green!

When packing for travel, I pick the shoes and purse first and plan the wardrobe around those items!  That’s probably a little backwards compared to most people!  For my Chicago trip, I chose the tall brown boots and green Chanel purse.  So all clothing items had to match those warm colors.  This green dress, previously worn here, fit the bill and went into the suitcase.  Green matches green right?  {According the Health Magazine, army green is flattering on all skin tones.  Give it a try!}

dress :: Anthropologie
belt :: H&M
earrings :: Premier
cuff :: MaiTai
scarf :: Hermes (gifted from Mr. S)
boots :: Dillards
bag :: Chanel
After getting the dress on, I felt there was too much green going on!  Did I just say that green matches green? Oops!  I threw on the scarf at the last minute.  It was an added incentive since I had to check my carry on bag and didn’t want to loose the scarf!
This is a modified cowboy knot.  It’s very easy to wear (and can even hide food stains on your shirt – just saying).  I used a 90cm square scarf.

 Fold it into a triangle.

 Tie it into a knot and place over your head like a necklace.

You can even wear a square scarf as an “infinity scarf” as shown in my old post here!

Okay, since my title was a little deceiving, I’ll give you a little info on going green for real!  Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to run a TV for three hours — or the equivalent of a half a gallon of gasoline.  Go green!  {Factoid from A Recycling Revolution}
