Fun versus Functional: Vintage Blouse

My eyes got really big when I saw this vintage Emanuel Ungaro blouse at the resale shop!  It has ruffles and balloon sleeves!  And it’s a gorgeous mix of colors!  I couldn’t resist!  This is the fun version…

 blouse :: vintage Emanuel Ungaro
jeans :: Old Navy
necklaces :: thrifted, F21, and Premier
belt :: H&M
shoes :: Lanvin for H&M

To balance all the ruffles and flowers, I wore boyfriend jeans (translation: my comfy old jeans).  I piled on some strands of pearls because that goes with everything right?  And I spiced it up with some colorful heels!  I tried to channel my inner Jane or Judy Aldridge, but those are some pretty big shoes to fill!  (Looking at the pictures, I would have nixed the belt.)
Here is the functional version!  I could definitely wear this to work.  I kept the blouse partially unbuttoned and wore tapered pants to balance the top.  Another idea is to pair this with a pencil skirt – will try that next time.  Of course, the shoes still have to be fun at work!
