Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays, but I LOVE Galentine’s Day even more (once I figured out what it was)!! Of course, I wanted to celebrate it with my favorite gal pals, Cathy of The Middlepage Blog and Heather of So Heather Blog. I’m sure you recognize them from our Chic at Every Age series. They came over to Fort Worth, and we had lunch at one of my favorite places, Press Cafe.
Cathy and Heather are my blogger besties, and I truly considered myself blessed to have found friends like them through this blogosphere. All of us have been crazy busy, but they were so kind to visit me in Fort Worth since I was stressed to the max! That lunch was a much-needed reprieve from all of the hecticness happening lately. (I just came back into town, Mr. S has been out of town, fridge was empty, the house looks like robbers came through, worked some more this week, and the kids are now sick!)
Anyhow, I surprised them with these super cute RFID tassel pouches, embossed with their initials, from Fossil. RFID means radio frequency identification and the pouch has a special lining that prevents unwarranted scanning of your credit cards chips. It’s sad that we have to worry about that kind of stuff now, but we do! For a small pouch, it surprisingly fits a lot – my small wallet, keys, iPhone, sunglasses and there is still room for more!
It was SO WINDY that day (like Hurricane winds) that it was almost impossible to get a picture without hair in our faces! Anyways, I had to include the picture of us all laughing – because that’s what you have to do sometimes when things don’t go as planned. We ended up eating inside even though the patio area is just gorgeous because of the crazy winds.
BTW, isn’t that “hello love” necklace absolutely adorable? It would be another sweet gift idea for a friend or yourself! I love that it’s a mix of sterling silver and rose gold. It was perfect to wear with my tassel earrings (LOVE tassels), off-the-shoulder top and twist hem jeans. Those have been my favorite jeans lately because of the short inseam (they actually fit a shorty like me!) and the unique hem. I even love wearing them with flats because they dress them up. I purchased them on sale and now realized that I could have purchased them at full price based on cost-per-wear. I’m wearing size 26 (smaller than usual) but they do loosen up as you wear them so I kind of wished that I got size 25.
THE STYLE Rx: Grab your besties and celebrate Galentine’s Day! It’s the perfect excuse to hang out with your gal pals. If they are extra special, spoil them with a sweet gift. This isn’t really style advice, but it IS good advice! :)
Happy Friday Friends!!! Thanks to all that stopped by Beehive Boutique last night!! It was super fun to catch up and craft and eat and shop! The night ended on a “messy” note. The babysitter called and Little M had things coming out of both ends so it was a long night for me! And we are headed to the doctor’s office today because I think Baby MJ has an ear infection. Can’t wait till Mr. S gets home tomorrow night! Have a fabulous weekend, friends!!!
