Floral Dress for Fall

Photography by Mr. S

Where did September go?!  I can’t believe it’s Fall, AND the month has flown by!  {I know I say it every month but I never feel like there is enough time.}

It’s Wednesday, but I’m postponing From Grandma with Love this week.  It will be back next week… I promise!  Today, I’m showing you my outfit du jour from Sunday.  It’s a gorgeous floral dress with a fun graphic print.  Little M kept discovering different things in church… like the flowers, or the person!  {Not distracting at all… totally able to pay attention to mass… yeah right!}  It actually comes with a very unique lace hands collar that is a signature of the brand, Vivetta, but I chose to leave it off that day for a simple look.  {I posted the collar here on Instagram when it arrived.}

The Style Rx: Floral dresses aren’t just for summer.  They are beautiful for transitioning into Autumn and Winter.  If it’s short sleeved, spaghetti, or strapless, then throw on a leather jacket for some edge.  Or wear a turtleneck over the dress to add more warmth and show it off as a skirt!  And you can never go wrong with a blazer in my opinion.

Did you notice the double helix ring on my right hand, shaped like an “X”?  After we were received into the Catholic church, I wanted a ring to wear as a reminder of the journey and Christ’s love.  I’ve actually been searching since April and was so excited when I found this ring from Barse Jewelry.  Of course, I’m a little biased because it’s a company that started in Fort Worth.  Love my locals!  It’s such a modern and lovely reminder of the cross to wear.
