Football season is upon us. And I love supporting my teams especially the fighting Texas Aggies WHOOP! but I don’t usually wear a sports jersey or tee. Chic and team spirit aren’t usually associated in the same sentence, but why can’t they be?

The idea for this post arose when Anjolee jewelry contacted me to choose a piece of jewelry for a blog review! What?! YES! Who doesn’t love beautiful jewelry? Anjolee was established in 1977 and specializes in high-end jewelry like tennis bracelet, diamond hoops, and diamond wedding rings. I picked this 3-stone engagement ring that was customized for me with three garnets! Hello gorgeous! It came in a lovely box and is just so elegant. This is PERFECT to show my maroon spirit with some pretty sparkle instead of wearing my Aggie ring. I know this is blasphemy speak in Aggieland, but sometimes a gal wants a classy ring and not a class ring to wear around! No stone throwing allowed from my fellow Aggies!
PROS:
- Gorgeous setting of the 3 stones and the “clarity” of the garnets is superb. {I’m not sure if there is such a thing as clarity of garnets, but it isn’t cloudy, cracked, etc.}
- Beautiful delivery in that gorgeous wooden box seen above
- Easy customization via their website and very fast delivery {signature required of course}
CONS:
- If anything, the stone setting is high. That being said, it is same height as my own engagement ring that I love. It’s perfect to wear with another band/ ring. {I’m just trying to be objective!}
Would I order from Anjolee again? Definitely! If had the opportunity to have another customized piece of jewelry, I would. Thank you again Anjolee!
Anyhow, getting back to topic… Being tres chic and showing team spirit is easy!
- Pick out a fab piece of jewelry featuring your team colors. Need some ideas… check below for my Texas team ideas! I’m thinking diamonds for the Dallas Cowboys, emeralds for the Dallas Stars, or sapphires for the Dallas Mavericks… LOL! A gal can dream right?!
- Wear something comfy but still has the main color theme of your team – shorts/jeans and a tank, a romper, or even a maxi works! {And I’m thinking of the south because it’s usually pretty warm around game time, but you can layer if it’s colder.}
- Remember comfy shoes! Wedges are wonderful for me, but flats and sandals are great too especially if you are going up and down bleachers.
- Easy hair is a must! I split my hair down the middle and braided my bangs away so it’s no fuss and no muss! A sleek ponytail or cute top bun would be great too!
- Wear a cross body bag so you can concentrate on what’s going on during the game and not where your bag is!
- If you have time, do your mani/ pedi in team colors! I wish I would have painted my nails a nice bordeaux color to match my ring.
- Have fun! Smiling, laughter, and fun are definitely traits of being tres chic right?! Hopefully, your team wins! Lately, the Aggies haven’t been so lucky!
