Chic at Every Age // Denim Dress

Photography by Mary Summers

It’s that time again… CHIC AT EVERY AGE.  This month, we bring you the DENIM DRESS!!

For those of you that have just tuned in, this fab collab is exactly how it sounds… a chic chick in her 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s shows you how to style a piece in their own way. I’m working with some of my FAVORITE gals in Dallas!!

The 40-something // Heather of Style by Fluent

The 50-something // Cathy of The Middle Page

It’s officially Fall!! I’ve still been hugely obsessed with denim and this shirt dress is no exception!  It’s actually still pretty warm in Texas, but one of my favorite things for Fall/Winter is wearing knee-high boots with a dress.  It’s easy and a no brainer!  To add some color, I tied a scarf around my bag.   Cathy kept it simple with a cross body bag and chunky sandals.  Heather glammed it up with an animal print clutch and high heel sandals.  Ashley was the cutest hipster with a camel fedora and low boots.  I love her outfit!

The Style Rx:  A denim dress is a great wardrobe staple. It can be dressed up or down.  We’ve shown you some different ways to wear it.  For colder weather, you can throw a fur vest over it for a cozy and chic look.

How would you wear this denim dress?  And do you own one?  BTW, if you don’t own a denim dress, don’t fret. I saw the cutest “dress like” outfit on a friend.  She wore a denim shirt and skirt for the same effect!

P.S. Excuse my hair.  I wore it straight and it was wet and rainy… so it looks a bit like wet seaweed. Womp Womp. :/
