WHAT TO WEAR INSTEAD OF SKINNY JEANS

Hello GlamFam! Apparently, Gen Z decided that skinny jeans and side parts are no longer stylish!! WHAT?! My friend/neighbor sent a mom group text asking if we had heard the same!! It took me SO LONG to get comfortable with skinny jeans, and now they are out?! I like to follow the trends, but if they don’t work for me then I leave them. I happen to love all jeans so I’m sharing some of the best skinny jean alternatives. Try them and you just might like them!

STYLE TIP: The jeans in the above and below photo are the same straight leg mom jeans, but I rolled them for a different look!

MOM JEANS

// original post here //

The infamous mom jean has been consistently growing in popularity over the years! These high-waist, straight-legged jeans have brought the comfort back to denim thanks to their more relaxed fabrics and stretch. It’s simple – they’re just easier to wear. With a cinched waist and baggy legs, mom jeans belong in every woman’s wardrobe (whether you’re a mom or not!). More feminine and timeless than a skinny jean, mom jeans are a no brainer when it comes to fashion and style.

FLARE JEANS

//original post here //

Also known as bell-bottoms, the flare jean has definitely become one of my all-time favorites when it comes to denim. Making a major comeback from the 70’s, flare jeans were created to fit just about any body type while making women look taller and slimmer thanks to their wide, loose fit! The non-skinny jean trend is becoming a fashion and runway sensation, so I guarantee we’ll be seeing more and more flare jeans throughout 2021 and hopefully beyond! Below are some of my favorite flare styles.

BOYFRIEND JEANS

// original post here //

Boyfriend jeans have been around for quite some time, and I don’t see them going away anytime soon. Similar to mom jeans, boyfriend denim features a relaxed and slouchy silhouette that’s easy to wear anytime, anywhere. Though this style is a bit baggier than you might be used to, boyfriend jeans in the fashion world today are created to be slimmer with a super sleek fit that all women long for. Originally his yet tailored for her, the BF jean is a smart alternative to the modern-day skinny jeans. Trust me… you’ll love them!

THE STYLE Rx: Know thyself! If a trend doesn’t work for you, then leave it! The best accessory is a confidence!

WHAT’S THE VERDICT?! KEEP OR TOSS THE SKINNY JEANS? I’m keeping mine!

Happy Friday Y’all!! I’m so happy it’s the weekend. Little M’s homework was ROUGH this week, and we all need a break from it! He usually has about an hour of homework every night, but this week was a bigger load. Poor guy. I felt like his brain was going to overheat. Anyhow, I’m excited to enjoy the weekend doing NOTHING!! I got frozen cinnamon rolls to celebrate Saturday morning! :) WHAT ARE YOU DOING THIS WEEKEND?

Thank you so much for stopping by and supporting SOS!
