Helllloooo Spring!  The sunshine, the flowers, dresses, sandals… I’m ready for it!  But YOU KNOW Texas weather can throw you for a curve ball.  Chilly mornings be damned, I’m wearing my Spring dress!  That’s when I start thinking outside the box…

Crop Top for summer? Pffft.  Why not wear it OVER my shirt dress!  LEGEND… wait for it… ARY!  {in the words of Barney Stinson}  Now you’ve got a whole new look, added layers for warmth, and another use for that very small top!

The Style Rx:  Keep your crop tops out and in rotation.  Wear it over your favorite Spring dress, jumpsuit, or button down.  BTW, this also works with any shrunken shirts or sweaters still in your closet.  I have a few!

I can’t wait to wear this dress ALL BY ITSELF when the weather truly warms up.  Hop over to Fort Worth Magazine Fashion blog to see another way I wore this dress.  Hint: Denim does a dress good!

Have you rocked a crop top over a dress?!  Would love to know your Spring style secrets.

P.S. You can use code samanthaxoxo1 for your first month free of Rocksbox!  That cute white necklace I’m wearing is from them!

    1. I hear ya about the tight jeans – one of my flares is the same! LOL! BTW, LOVING the Valentino inspo – right on point!

Crop tops are really versatile, surprisingly! :)

    1. YAY! So glad to hear that this was a new style tip! I like coming up with fresh ideas!

And you are looking super fabulous in your work attire!!! Isnt’ it funny how the blog has given us different skills (like your you tube videos for public speaking) that are useful for work?!

    1. Thanks Kimberlee! I got it last Spring, but it seems to be a year-round wardrobe piece so I’m really happy about my “investment”!
