From Grandma with Love // Sweater Dress

Happy Friday!!  Time for the weekend, and I can’t wait!  Here’s another dress from Mr. S’s lovely grandmother.

Dress from G-ma {similar} // thrifted necklaces {similar gold chain and similar pearl}  // Anthropologie earrings {super pretty} // Etsy Oui and gifted opal rings {similar} // Stella & Dot and thrifted bracelets {similar leaf bracelet} // c/o Caravelle by Bulova watch // See by Chloe boots // LV Neverfull MM bag // Karen Walker sunglasses
When Mr. S brought this dress home, my eyes lit up!  It’s Italian wool and has kept it’s shape so nicely. I have to admit that it’s a little itchy, but the shape and warmth make it worth being a little scratchy.  To create a different length necklace, I tied my long pearl necklace in a front knot.  I thought I was so clever at the time, but it looks like a pearl blob in the pictures.  Oh well!
Hopefully, we get a Christmas tree and decorate the house this weekend!  I LOVE this time of year.  One of our favorite things to do is make hot chocolate and drive around to look at Christmas lights!  There is a house in our neighborhood who has professionals start the lighting decorations in November, and it’s so amazing that there are always a bottleneck in traffic to see that house.  I’ll snap a pic and post it on Instagram!

Cheers to December arriving and hope you enjoy the weekend!  Until my next “From Grandma with Love” post…

  1. I love stuff from grandmas closet! In almost all of my posts I am wearing something that was my nanas. Women back then had some style!

You look awesome in it…you styled it perfectly.

  2. Fashionably cute trumps itchy!! ;)

Mr. S’s G-ma is a stylish lady!! I love how you styled this dress. Those (petite friendly!!) boots are perfect for dresses and they look great with your LV. I usually match my bags with boots in the darker brown color but I like how your bag looks accessorized with the light leather! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Hi Sam, long time no see and just scrolled through your amazing Europe photos! The treats at tea looked delicious and I love this wool dress! Very pretty and I know the feeling about the itchiness….pain is beauty and beauty is pain!

  5. The grandma must be a style icon…all the clothes you have from her are so classic.
