Coral + Stripes

Guess what?!  Somehow, I convinced Mr. S to help me take blog pictures!  We actually left the backyard and drove to a place to take pictures!  I was elated but at the same time felt extremely awkward!  The remote and the furkids are usually the only audience, so I wasn’t used to moving in real time  We had a lot of fun, but there are some kinks to work out!

Tank: F21 // Jeans: Gap // Scarf: gifted from mom // Rings: Oui via etsy, gifted // Bracelets: thrifted, World Market, JCrew, F21 // Wedges: Via Spiga via NMLC {also here} // Bag: LV // Sunglasses: Karen Walker

Like I said, Mr. S and I are working out some of the details to blog photography!  There are many NOT SO GOOD pictures!  Check out some that didn’t “make the cut”!  :)

And if you’re interested in how to recreate this outfit…

  1. You look great! I like the outtakes :). I am super awkward when posing for pictures. Love those coral pants!!

  2. Love the fun outfit! I can’t believe your husband was ready and willing to drive somewhere and take pictures! My husband can barely be bothered getting off his butt to stand up and take a picture for me at home! lol

  3. amazing posts! Love the part at the bottom. Really well done!!!!!
Your hubby is a great photographer!

  4. i love mixing stripes and pop of color! u look great!

also on ur question – i just feel like the fabric doesn’t give a smooth look b/c of the texture, it still looks good… i’m gonna try this diy again on some fake leather wanna be white heels..

  5. love this post! hooray, mr. s — way to get outta the backyard :) love the fun colors in both your outfit and the background location. keep it up! xo

  6. awkward isn’t the word i would use to describe these photos. serene is good word — and so is relaxed and confident. but awkward? no way. in fact, before i read your post, i thought that these photos were my new faves. :)

in any case, you worked it, Sam!

    ps. go mr. s!!

  7. the coral jeans and scarf blend so well together…and love you added the striped tee…very chic and feminine.
i can tell you guys were having so much fun…sam i must say i can see you put a lot of work into every post…i am trying to be more thoughtful about my posts but gosh, it’s just a lot of work to put all the info in the post.
having someone take photo is so much more fun and takes a lot of syncing…at first it can be frustrating but once the mutual connection is developed it’s just so easy…

  8. haha i love the outtakes, you’re too cute ;) the coral colour of your jeans is the exact shade i’ve been looking for! goes so well with the camel shoes sam!

i have the same issue when my man takes my photos too, but you know what, it gets easier in time! ;)

  9. haha love the outtakes :p I’m sure the kinks will work themselves out, having someone you know take your photos makes for more natural, relaxed poses :)

  10. Awww! Love it! These are amazing photos :) Glad you went somewhere else… my boyfriend and I are still working on that! We actually just had this conversation yesterday… LOL! We were saying “Yeah we always talk about going somewhere cool then we just end up outside of our apartment” haha!
