Living Life

Everything is better when you’re wearing rose colored glasses! I was hoping that my outfit would look better too. Wouldn’t it be great if you could put on a pair of rose colored glasses for a bad fashion day? And I’m sure you noticed mr. franklin photobombing again!

Mr. S and I planned a date night last night to discuss some things going on in our lives.  {It’s crazy when you have to schedule an appointment for a discussion with your significant other.}  We talked about everything from jobs to family and how certain issues have affected our moods lately.  One thing we both agreed on is the importance of accepting and embracing the journey of life.  It can be a roller coaster sometimes, but I think that all experiences, good or bad, make a person who they are.  We are in a good place right now, but it’s easy to forget the priorities in life as we get busy.  And life seems to get busier and busier.
So I leave you with some happy thoughts for the weekend…

  1. Lovely post – rose coloured glasses can be essential some times! Sorry to hear your life is so hectic, hope the chat with your DH helped.

Really like your lovely outfit :) And Franklin looks so thoughtful. Perhaps he is contemplating rose tinted glasses too?

  2. What a cool picture effect! Love it! Great outlook re: embracing the journey…great reminder early in the morning. ;-)

  3. Wow, that’s a really nice necklace! I keep having to remind myself of that too – enjoyed this post ;) x

  4. I love your outfit – so simple and romantic. I agree – life is a journey and sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy the ride (as much as possible anyways). And I adore Franklin – he’s the cutest photobomber in the blogosphere :)

  5. Great advice, Sam! And I think your outfit is adorable!! Ups and downs are a part of marriage. I think as long as the ups outweigh the downs, then you’re doing A-OK! I had mostly downs in my first marriage, but now I couldn’t be happier with my husband of almost 2 years (we’ve been together 5).

  6. I love how chic you look for running errands. For me, sometimes I can’t do more than throw on jeans and a tee. I try to dress it up with accessories! ;-)

  7. Oh, Sam! I LOVE the way you styled this post . The color scheme you chose is so pretty, too!

Another fabulous outfit! The necklace you made is the perfect way to finish that look. LOVE.

    Happy Friday!

  8. Great post and such great (and timely for me) advice. Have a wonderful weekend!

  9. Been thinking about you Sam! Drop me a note when you have time to let me know how you are doing. I love this post… and rose colored glasses, but you know me, I think clarity is overrated.

  10. Gorgeous my stylish online friend. Staying connected is the key to longevity, no matter how it’s done do it and it’ll make the difference especially if you do it so “stylishly”
