eShakti review {that LBD!}

Awhile ago, I was contacted by eShakti to do a review for one of their items.  It took me forever to pick ONE item because they have so many great choices.  In the end, it was between two dresses and I went for the little black dress!

dress: c/o eShakti // brooch: thrifted {similar} // necklace: thrifted {vintage} // belt: WHBM {similar} // opal ring: grandma {similar} // pearl bracelet: Premier {similar} // bag: vintage Celine // heels: Valentino // sunnies: Karen Walker

PROS:

  • I have to say that it is so well made!  The dress is fully lined, and and the seams are nicely finished.
  • I like the simplicity of the shape and scalloped hem.
  • Additionally, I had it customized by changing the sleeves to a bracelet length.  You can change any item to your liking for an additional $7.50.

CONS:

  • Because it is felted wool, the dress attracts a lot of lint.  You can see in some of the pics.
  • Even though I submitted custom measurements, it arrived a little big.  It may be because the dress is a slip on so they had to account for my wide shoulders.  The pics show extra fabric gathered around the belt line and I showed you a pic without the belt.
Would I order from eShakti again?  Definitely!  It was nice to custom order my dress!  The original dress is on sale for $31.98 here.  Right now, they have some gorgeous Spring dresses available!
Just a little about eShakti.  Shakti means power in Sanskrit.  eShakti therefore means the power of the Net.  They believe the internet empowers customers and helps companies be customer-centered.  And they were recently featured on Glamour.com.

{Disclaimer:  I received the dress complimentary of eShakti.  However, all opinions, styling, and pictures are my own!}

  1. Your dress is cute Sam. Love the scalloped hem line. I love eShakti! They have a great new Spring line too. I must take a closer look. There was a gorgeous yellow piece on the website.

  2. interesting idea! wish they ship to international locations but looks like it’s just US and Canada for now. i like that it’s not too expensive to have something custom made. The LBD looks really cute on you though I agree it does look a tiny bit big. Love the styling as usual – you have the shoes I’ve been stalking for ages!

  3. Beautiful dress!! Thank you for following me! Now I’m following you back :)

  5. I just thrifted an almost IDENTICAL dress! I haven’t worn it yet but I wish I had those Valentinos to go with it too!!! :)

  6. Thanks for the intro to the brand…I wasn’t sure exactly what their brand/message was…but custom for those prices is pretty incredible.
    Beautiful dress (although I hear you on the collecting lint thing) and I ADORE those shoes…they are awesome.
