Ways to Wear It: Raspberry Dress

Okay, this time I cheated!  This is a multi-way dress.  I LOVE items with multiple uses (I feel like you get more for your money) so I’m a sucker for anything that it “convertible”, “all-in-one”, or “multi-way”.  Have I fallen for marketing schemes or what?!
Look 1 :: Dolman Sleeved Shift

dress :: Norma Kamali for Walmart
necklaces :: Premier and Banana Republic
earrings :: Premier
clutch :: Jimmy Choo for H&M
cuff :: Mai Tai
shoes :: Enzo Angiolini (from Mom)

I’ve gotten my money’s worth out of these dresses (I have it in black and raspberry).  They were $20 each, and I’ve worn them for so many occasions (from a New Year’s eve party to work to traveling).  The jersey is a thicker material so you cannot see through it, even when it’s stretched to all different configurations!  Unfortunately, they aren’t available online anymore (I checked here).  However, this is a similar dress here and a more expensive version here
See!  I told you I was getting a lot of use out of my new jewelry!  I love the layering effects of the two necklaces.
Look 2 :: Halter Dress
Look 3 :: Strapless Dress
Look 4 :: Asymmetrical Dress
Look 5 :: One Sleeve Dress
I’m sure there are more permutations of this dress that I haven’t realized!  Like I said, I’ve fallen for the marketing schemes but I LOVE my convertible dress.  (Shhh!  I even have a navy convertible top!)

  6. Oh goodness, I love this post because I always wanted to know what these convertible dresses looked like on real people.  So cute and versatile!  I love the cranberry color, its beautiful on you, and that clutch is so fantastic. Have a wonderful weekend.

  7. This is smart shopping, you’re only a victim of marketing scheme if you don’t get actual use out of the product, but this is the perfect item to pack light on vacation! (I don’t do light-packing, but this might be a solution to that problem). The halter and one sleeved looks are my favs!

    Have a lovely weekend :)

  8. You are one smart shopper and I have much to learn from you!  It was a pleasure meeting you today and I am so thrilled I had the chance to chat with you over lunch! Hope you’ll discover some great items this weekend!  Enjoy :D

  12. Thanks Alexa!!  I’m going to try some other styles in the future!

    My doggie always looks so annoyed with me when I’m taking pictures! LOL!

  13. Thank you Cara!  I know what you mean – it’s hard to tell what the dress will look like on the models.  Hope you have a fab weekend!  :o)

  14. Thanks Kim!  I ended up being very familiar with Walmart because my husband and I lived in a small town without even a Target!  GASP!  So I tried to work with the stores we had – I have to say that I found a lot at Walmart, Marshalls, and Dillards!

  15. Hey Liv!  Good point on the marketing scheme – now I don’t feel as bad!  I go back and forth with packing – when it’s “light” then I’ve usually forgotten something major!

  16. Bessie!!!!  I had so much fun at lunch yesterday!!  It was my pleasure to meet you and get to chat it up with such an amazing woman!  I hope you get all your tasks done this weekend!  Tell your mom hi!  ;o)

  17. Thank you Jeannie!!  These dresses have been pretty versatile!  I wasn’t sure about it when I saw it online, but I thought for $20 I could try it!  Totally love it now!

  18. Hi G!  If I ever see them restock this version online, then I’ll let you know!  The other version they have at Walmart is sleeveless.  Hope you have a great weekend!  :o)

  19. omg what an amazing dress! And I love that it was so affordable – I have heard great things about this line, must go check it out!!

  20. Oh my goodness!!  Thanks Marlene! I need to do a post on my hair – I’m trying to figure out how to do video tutorials!  If that won’t work, then I’ll just do a picture tutorial!  :o)

  21. Thanks Katherine!  I was also skeptical at first, but they’ve been great additions to my wardrobe with surprisingly thick jersey.  I wear a lot of the dresses to work.  (If you search my Walmart tag, then you’ll see all the dresses!)  Definitely check it out!

  22. OMG, that dress is amazing is all of its combination glory!  I think I like the one- shoulder the best!! But each look has a very  tailored feel

  23. OMG, I LOVE this!!  I am so sad it is not available!  I like the one-shoulder the best, too, but I love them all!  Somehow I missed the original post, but I LOVE this now!
