Style of Sam (SOS): Brown

I’ve still been in dress mode lately!  I wore this brown number while visiting with my gal pal this past weekend.  It’s super comfy because it’s a knit, but I have to wear a strapless bra (Boo!) and it’s pilling after multiple wears (another Boo!).  I can’t complain too much because I’ve had it for over 3 years.

dress :: Max Studio (from the outlet)
cuff bracelet :: F21
earrings :: ?? (really old)
wedges :: Coach
bag :: LV
As I do my Stevie Nicks turns, I’m trying to show you the ties that hang down from my shoulder straps.  They are really cute and dangly but can be dangerous because they get caught in things!  (No heavy machine operating here!)  I also like the double and asymmetrical hem – it’s longer in the back.  I’m pretty sure my dog is wondering what in the world I’m doing!
You can see how those ties are wrapped around the shoulder straps!  It reminds me of a Roman dress.

Happy Wednesday!!

  1. prettty outfit.  i would have a hard time throwing it out too but i would probably keep it and just wear it around the house when that time comes.

  2. I’ve got a summer dress in black that I’ve washed so much that it has faded but…I will not get rid of it!  I love it and it is so comfortable..so I know what you mean!

  3. LOVE your wedges and earrings!  Such pretty, simple ways to jazz up a basic dress! I would catch those shoulder straps on so much, but I’m clumsy! :P

  4. Thanks Stylish!  The turquoise and brown/taupe are my “go-to” color combo if I’m wearing brown.  I need to come up with something else!

  5. Thank you Cara!  I am clumsy too and have almost gotten into trouble with the shoulder straps!!  (I wear this dress when I’m hanging out and not doing things that can cause injury!!!)

  6. Bessie, I hear ya!  I am the worst at getting rid of clothes!  When they start looking bad, then I find “another use” for them!

  7. I like this look! Dress, cuff, earrings..everything is well co-ordinated. Effortless chic.
    The braided strap of the dress is lovely too. Thumbs up for this one :)
